Pendant les opérations de film encreur contre des infrastructures de Hezbollah dans le secteur d'A-Teibeh dans le secteur oriental, un soldat de réservation a été tué hier matin (mercredi 9/8/6), un soldat a été sévèrement blessé et un soldat additionnel a été modérément blessé.

Après une première enquête il s'avère que l'incident a été apparemment provoqué par le feu amical, en lequel un réservoir israélien a confondu l'identité de la force.

Fifteen Reserve Soldiers Killed during Warfare in Southern Lebanon

Fifteen IDF reserve soldiers were killed and about forty were injured during warfare in different sectors of southern Lebanon in the past 24 hours. The families were notified. The names of some of the killed reserve soldiers are now released for publication:

Lieutenant  (res.) Gilad Shtukelman, 26 years old, from Timrat. He was killed yesterday morning, apparently as a result of an anti-tank strike to the tank in which the force was operating in Ayta A-Shab.

During IDF operations against Hezbollah infrastructures in the area of A-Teibeh in the eastern sector, a reserve soldier was killed yesterday morning (Wednesday 09/08/06), a soldier was severely injured and an additional soldier was moderately injured. Following an initial inquiry it appears that the incident was apparently caused by friendly fire, in which an Israeli tank mistook the identity of  the force.

In the area of Ayta A-Shab in the western sector, four reserve soldiers were killed during the morning hours yesterday, apparently from an anti-tank strike to the tank they were operating in. during IDF operations in the area of the village of Debel, situated in the western sector of southern Lebanon, nine reserve soldiers were killed yesterday, four soldiers were severely injured and seven soldiers were moderately injured from an anti-tank strike to the structure they were staying in.

During IDF operations in the village of Kaliya in the eastern sector, a reserve soldier was killed in the evening hours from a mortar shell strike.
